Comprehensive Spine and Scoliosis Care
A strong core, flexible spine, and good alignment are the main focus of our comprehensive spinal care. Our physical therapy treatments involve an overall body assessment including lower extremity function because we realize that the body is one whole functioning unit and no single joint functions independently. A thorough analysis and logical formulation of treatment plans are part of our ongoing assessment on every patient visit. We incorporate careful spinal orthotic treatment planning through cobbing and blueprinting with every orthotic design we make. Patient education and follow through is an integral part of patient rehabilitation. All of these factors are taken into consideration with every patient we treat.
We now offer conservative management of Scoliosis using the Schroth Best Practice Method.
Patients achieve postural awareness via active self contraction techniques using the Schroth Method, an evidence based treatment for the comprehensive management of Scoliosis. These techniques are incorporated in patients ADL. The noticeable and quick improvement in spinal alignment and posture is encouraging and motivating for patients leading to an excellent functional outcome and patient satisfaction.
Treatment outcome includes:
- Improved postural appearance
- Improved muscular imbalance
- Reduction and elimination of pain
- Improved quality of life and self concept

We believe that protecting and aligning the spine and strengthening the muscles around it are the prerequisite to a successful lower and upper extremity rehabilitation. Our goal is to keep our patients active with less pain and to protect them from further injuries. That is the foundation that this program was built upon. Our comprehensive spine care involves but are not limited to pain modalities, strengthening, stretching, neuromuscular re-education, and orthotic intervention when necessary. We find ways to make spinal rehabilitation quicker for patients and at the same time encourage good follow through.
